The tick was a comic that turned into a cartoon. Its whole shtick was making fun of all the superhero tropes across the board, with a touch of Looney Tunes humor. I loved the strange villains and the even stranger heroes. Sometimes, though, as a kid, I didn’t get all the jokes, as there were alot of them in there for adults.
The reason I bring this up is that Big Bad Toy Store is selling Tick 6″ action figures, and the look amazing. If you were a fan, you should go check them out.
Also, as a bit of trivia, before I ever saw this show or knew of its existence, I too drew an insect superhero that made fun of comic tropes, and his name was “THE FLEA.” Odd, right?
