One of my favorite movies is from the creators of South Park. It’s called BASEketball. It’s based very loosely on a real game that was conceived on the driveways of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the 1980’s. It’s a combo of baseball and basketball. David Zucker and his friends invented the sport so that anyone, regardless of athletic ability, could play and remain competitive.
When I’m drawing, I put it on in the background and just listen to the mayhem unfold. I’ve seen it so many times that I don’t even need to look up to know what’s going on.
At this point in my life, I even quote the movie to people pretty often. That shows how much I like it. Sadly, only a few people get the references.
