Have you ever been to a comic con? If you haven’t, you should, they can be a hell of a lot of fun.
Of course, not all cons are created equal. Some are amazing, some are just ok, and a few are downright disappointing. Over the years, I’ve been to plenty that are “meh,” but only a couple that sucked.
I’ve attended as both a vendor and a shopper, and each has its own perks. Don’t get me wrong, I love hunting for great deals and adding to my collection. But in a lot of ways, I prefer being behind the table. Meeting readers and fans, hearing what they think about the book, and talking comics with people who share the same passion is hard to beat.
