I’ve loved comics ever since I bought my first one as a kid. I actually got into the hobby pretty late, i was already a pre-teen, but from that very first book, I was hooked.
Back then, I was reading Image’s Spawn, DC’s Superman, and Archie Comics’ TMNT. As I got older, my tastes didn’t change that much, though I found myself gravitating toward more indie books like Usagi Yojimbo, Hellboy and Bone.
These days, I still collect some superhero comics, but I mostly find myself reaching for humor books or series that remind me of my childhood, like Ducktales, Transformers, and G.I. Joe. Maybe I never really grew up, and honestly, I’m okay with that. I sometimes wonder if it’s because I was a Toys “R” Us kid.
